It has been a busy summer at the club and many things have
occurred since the last newsletter. If you missed the Glock
match, shame on you. Yes, Glocks are the move to the dark
side, but they have a dedicated following. If you were at
the match, you could see that for yourself. The people from
Glock were impressed with our ranges, and the people who
RO'd and helped with the set up, food, etc. The shooters
also seemed to be impressed and hoped to be back next year
even stronger.
The club open house went well and everyone seemed to have a
great time trying the different shooting disciplines.
We had some prospective new members who spent most of their
day with us, giving the club and the membership compliments
from all sides. There were lots of people who really enjoyed
the shotgun set up by the Britt clan, and there were some
people who thought SASS (cowboy) was too involved, having to
cock the hammer every time. Anna really did an
excellent job with the food; if you left hungry it wasn't
her fault. We had a great day to celebrate the club's 50th.
year.
This part of the newsletter is the same old "preaching to
the choir;" CLEAN UP AFTER YOURSELF. It seems that some of
us still think MOM is there to pick up after we are done
with our toys; SHE AIN'T. Reminder two, time is getting
shorter to get your hours in. Tom pulls the work hour book
at the the December meeting so get those hours recorded.
