Livingston Gun Club proudly present
PS101 – An introduction to practical shooting
Saturday April 3, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
PS101 provides you with the information you need to get started in practical shooting, the fastest growing and most exciting of the shooting sports.
We begin with a class room presentation covering the fundamentals of practical shooting and the gear you need to participate. You should bring something for taking notes. Lunch is around noon. We typically order pizza or sandwiches but you can also BYO. The presentation continues after lunch and ends around two followed by (weather permitting) a range exercise where students have the opportunity to shoot a course of fire under the supervision of nationally certified officers and instructors. We are usually done by 4:00 PM but it can go longer if the class is large or we take a long lunch.
If you want to take part in the range exercise bring:
- a handgun chambered for one of the common defensive calibers
- ~50 rounds of ammunition (more if you want to go more than once)
- enough magazines or speed loaders to shoot a twenty round course
- eye and ear protection
If you have a competition rig (belt, holster, magazine pouches) bring it. If you don’t we will find a way to
accommodate the equipment you do have. We shoot outside so dress for the weather.
Attendance is open to anyone. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
The class is hosted by Livingston Gun Club at 2440 Hunter Road in Brighton.
$10 fee includes lunch.
Seating is limited to 24.
